FARMINGTON, Utah (February 25, 2020) - With only two weeks remaining in the Big Sky women's basketball regular season, Montana State is on the verge of claiming the regular-season title outright and the top seed at the Big Sky Basketball Championships in Boise, Idaho.
- Montana State continued to dominate in conference play this past week and picked up a pair of victories against Portland State and their in-state rival Montana. With MSU’s victory over Montana, they clinched a share of the regular-season championship.
- The Bobcats are currently ranked in the College Insider Mid-Major Poll. MSU is No. 25th in the poll and is ranked in that poll for the first time this season.
- Northern Arizona’s Khiarica Rasheed was named the Big Sky Player of the Week for her performance and leading the Lumberjacks to two victories over Idaho and Eastern Washington. She averaged 23.5 points and 11.5 rebounds on the week.
- Two games separate second through sixth in the conference standings. The top five seeds will receive a first-round bye in the Big Sky Tournament which may not be sorted out until the final day of the regular season.
- #BigSkyInBoise kicks off on March 9th with three first-round games. The tournament will run through March 13 with the women’s championship game taking place at 1:00 p.m. MT. The winner will receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
