FARMINGTON, Utah (February 18, 2020)
-- Montana State is slowly pulling away from the rest of the field but there is still a lot to play for.  Only three games separate second through seventh place.

  • Montana State continues to lead the conference and is sitting at 13-1 in conference play.  With a win this week MSU could lock up one of the top five seeds in the Big Sky Championship and a first-round bye.
  • Idaho and Northern Arizona are currently in a battle for the second-place spot.  The Vandals currently hold a half-game lead over the Lumberjacks.  Both teams have 10 conference wins at this point in the season.
  • Idaho continues to have one of the best defenses in the conference and is holding opponents to 57.5 points per game.
  • Montana State has the best scoring margin in the conference right now.  The Bobcats are outscoring opponents by an average of 18 points per game.
  • When it comes to leading the conference in scoring that honor goes to Northern Arizona’s Khiarica Rasheed.  She has a league-best 18.5 points per game and has totaled 277 points in 15 games.
  • Sacramento State’s Kennedy Nicholas continues to dominate the boards and has a league-best 10.6 rebounds per game in conference play
  • The Big Sky Basketball Championships will take place March 9-14 in Boise, Idaho.
