Montana's Pridgett Named #BigSkyMBB Player of the Week
FARMINGTON, Utah (February 18, 2020) – While guiding Big Sky leader Montana to its fifth consecutive win, senior guard Sayeed Pridgett recorded a pair of 20-point performances to earn Big Sky Men’s Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week honors.
Pridgett averaged 24.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in home wins over Weber State and Idaho State to keep Montana atop the Big Sky standings at 12-3.
The Oakland, Calif., native scored 25 points in just 30 minutes of action Thursday in a 72-37 rout of Weber State. The 37 points allowed were the fewest for a Montana opponent since 1976. He also added five rebounds and a pair of assists while making 11 of his 17 shot attempts.
Pridgett came just shy of recording Montana’s third triple-double in school history Saturday with 24 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and three steals in a 78-63 victory over Idaho State. He went 10-of-14 from the floor to finish with a 67.7 percentage (21-for-31) on the week.
The Big Sky honor is the second of the season for Pridgett and the fifth of his career.
