FARMINGTON, Utah (February 11, 2020) – Weber State senior guard Jerrick Harding carried the Wildcats to two critical wins last weekend while becoming WSU’s all-time scoring leader to garner Big Sky Men’s Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week honors.

Harding averaged 34 points and 2.5 steals on the week in home wins over Sacramento State and Northern Arizona to climb to 2,123 career points and surpass Jeremy Senglin as Weber State’s career scoring leader.

The Wichita, Kan., native set a Dee Events Center record Thursday with 44 points in WSU’s 70-66 win over Sacramento State. Harding scored 25 points in the first half and finished 14-of-21 from the field with five three-pointers, tying a career high. He was also a perfect 11-of-11 from the line.

He followed with a 24-point outing in a 76-70 upset of Northern Arizona on Saturday, knocking down four treys.

On the week, Harding shot 54 percent (22-of-41) from the field with nine three-pointers while going 15-of-15 from the free throw line.

Harding’s 2,123 career points ranks him fourth in Big Sky history behind Montana State’s Tyler Hall (2,518), Northern Colorado’s Jordan Davis (2,272) and Eastern Washington’s Bogdan Bliznyuk (2,169).

He leads the conference and ranks sixth in the nation in scoring at 22.8 points per game. He has scored 20 or more points 15 times this season and reached 30 or more four times.

The Big Sky weekly honor is the fourth of his career.
