FARMINGTON, Utah (December 14, 2020) – Southern Utah junior guard Tevian Jones scored a career-high 33 points in a road win over Utah Valley last week to garner Big Sky Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors.

In the 81-71 victory over the Wolverines, Jones went 10-of-23 from the field with five three-pointers while shooting 8-of-10 from the charity stripe. He also added five boards in a team-high 39 minutes played. The 33 points is the most by a Big Sky player this season.

Jones scored 21 of his 33 points in the first half to help Southern Utah take a 42-33 lead into the locker room.

It’s the first time in program history that Southern Utah has earned back-to-back Big Sky weekly honors after Maizen Fausett was named the league's top player a week ago.
