Montana's Manuel Hauls In #BigSkyMBB Weekly Honors
FARMINGTON, Utah (January 7, 2020) – Montana senior guard Kendal Manuel has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week for the first time in his career after helping the Griz remain atop the league standings last week on the road.
Manuel averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in Montana's weekend road tilt at Southern Utah and Northern Colorado.
The Billings, Mont., product dropped 17 points and six boards in a 60-58 victory over Southern Utah on Thursday, handing the Thunderbirds their first home loss of the season.
Manuel shot 13-for-16 for a career-high 30 points in a 74-66 loss to Northern Colorado on Saturday. He finished a perfect 3-for-3 from behind the arc to total 6-for-9 for the week. He once again added six rebounds to his stat line while recording three steals against the Bears.
On the week, he shot a sizzling 63 percent (19-for-30) from the field in 77 minutes of action.
