Inaugural Big Sky Hall of Fame Tickets on Sale Now

FARMINGTON, Utah (January 31, 2020) – Tickets for the 2020 Big Sky Conference Hall of Fame Ceremony presented by Jimmy John’s are on sale now. The ceremony – a fun-filled and historic event that will highlight the athletic, academic, campus, and community achievements of 14 extraordinary honorees – will be held on Saturday, March 14, at the Boise Centre, located directly adjacent to Boise’s CenturyLink Arena, home of the 2020 Big Sky Basketball Championships.

“Our first Hall of Fame class celebrates the ‘best of the best’ in the 63-year history of the Big Sky Conference, and this awards ceremony will pay homage to their incredible legacy,” Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said. “On behalf of our member institutions and their athletic departments, we cannot wait to honor their accomplishments with an event that is sure to be a capstone to a wonderful week of tournament basketball in Boise.”

A VIP Reception will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A limited amount of VIP tickets are on sale for $75. The ticket provides a guest with entry into the ceremony, as well as access to the VIP brunch event that includes a meet-and-greet with the honorees before the ceremony. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.

The Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with doors opening at 10:40 a.m. General Admission tickets to the ceremony are on sale for $30.

The 2020 Big Sky Hall of Fame inductees are Jared Allen (Idaho State, Football, 2000-03), Shannon (Cate) Schweyen (Montana, Women’s Basketball, 1988-92), Angela Chalmers (Northern Arizona, Women’s Track & Field, 1982-87), Dave Dickenson (Montana, Football, 1992-95), Stacy Dragila (Idaho State, Women’s Track & Field, 1993-96), Jack Friel (Big Sky Conference, Commissioner, 1963-71), John Friesz (Idaho, Football, 1986-89), Milton “Dubby” Holt (Idaho State, Track & Field/Administrator, 1963-79), Damian Lillard (Weber State, Men’s Basketball, 2008-12), Lopez Lomong (Northern Arizona, Men’s Cross Country/Track & Field, 2005-07), Ron Mann (Northern Arizona, Cross Country/Track & Field Coach, 1980-04), Ellie (Rudy) vanSwearingen (Montana State, Women’s Track & Field, 2004-08), Robin Selvig (Montana, Women’s Basketball Coach, 1978-2016), and Jan Stenerud (Montana State, Football, 1964-66/Skiing, 1962-64).

Tickets to the week-long championship, which includes 20 games over six days, can be purchased by clicking here. The Hall of Fame inductees will be honored on the court during the men’s championship game tipping off that night (6 p.m. MT on Saturday, March 14).
