NAU’s Bailey Named #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah (January 28, 2020) – Northern Arizona junior Jacey Bailey has been named the #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week for her performance in two games this past week.

Bailey averaged 20.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game in a pair of double-double performances for NAU against Portland State and Sacramento State. She shot 46.2 percent from the field, made five three-pointers and also recorded three assists and three steals.

Bailey tallied her first double-double of the season on Saturday at Portland State with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

She turned around and then set a new season-high with 25 points in the Lumberjacks' win at Sacramento State on Monday. She sealed up her second consecutive double-double with a career-high 13 boards. Bailey scored 15 of her 25 points in the third quarter, helping NAU turn a six-point halftime lead into a third quarter lead of as much as 19 points.

This season Bailey is averaging 13.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game and is ranked in the top-10 in the conference in both categories.

Bailey becomes the third player from NAU to receive weekly honors this season.
