EWU's Davison Hauls In Second #BigSkyMBB Weekly Honor
FARMINGTON, Utah (January 21, 2020) – After guiding Eastern Washington to a pair of road wins last weekend, junior guard Jacob Davison has been tabbed the Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week for the second time this season.
The Long Beach, Calif., native averaged 21.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in victories over Idaho and Montana State to move the Eagles into a tie for second place in the Big Sky.
Davison opened the week with 17 points, three steals and a block in Eastern Washington’s 78-75 win at Idaho on Thursday. He scored eight second half points, all coming in the final 4:58 to help the Eagles prevail down the stretch.
He followed with 26 points, five assists, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a 71-58 win over Montana State on Saturday. Davison scored eight points in a game-deciding 23-6 run to help the Eagles open up a 59-46 lead with just over five minutes to play.
Davison is the first player to collect a second weekly honor this season (Dec. 10). He also earned weekly accolades once during the 2018-19 season.
