FARMINGTON, Utah (September 17, 2019)
-- With one week left to play in the non-conference schedule all Big Sky teams are gearing up for conference play and to make a push for the postseason tournament.  
  • Weber State took over the top spot in the standings after picking up three impressive wins over the weekend. The Wildcats recorded wins against Kansas State (3-1), SMU (3-0), and Missouri State (3-2) to improve to 7-2 on the season.
  • Northern Arizona knocked off their second SEC team in two year with a 3-0 sweep of LSU in Flagstaff. The Lumberjacks finished the weekend with three wins to move to a tie for second in the conference standings.
  • NAU will face another SEC team this week when they travel to Florida to compete in the Gator Invitational. The host, Florida, is currently ranked No. 11 in the nation and will play the Lumberjacks on Friday afternoon.
  • Montana State was the only other school to post an undefeated record over the weekend. Montana State, currently ranked 5th in the standings at 4-4, picked up a pair of wins against UTEP (3-0) and CSU Bakersfield (3-1).
  • The non-conference portion of the 2019 season wraps up this weekend with most teams in competitions this week.
  • The conference schedule will kickoff next week with a match up between Montana and Montana State on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
