Eastern Washington and Northern Arizona Top Leaderboard at #BigSkyTF Outdoor Championships

MISSOULA, Mont. (May 10, 2019) – After an eventful third day at the 2019 #BigSkyTF Outdoor Championships, the Eastern Washington women’s team and the Northern Arizona men’s team sat at the top of their respective leaderboards.
The Eastern Washington women, who currently have 42 points, charged to the top thanks to their success in the women’s pole vault where they swept the podium to lock up 24 points towards their total. Samantha Raines won the pole vault with a mark of 4.08 meters (13-4.5). Elizabeth Prouty and Katrina Terry took second and third in the event to finish off the sweep.
Idaho State is currently sitting in second place in the women’s standings with 37 points and s trailed by Montana who is in third with 31 points.
On the men’s side, Northern Arizona used the final event to take over the top spot with a total of 50 points. The Lumberjacks entered the final event of the day, the men’s 10k, two points behind Montana. NAU had three runners place in the top eight to secure 15 points towards their overall total.
Montana is in second place with a total of 37 points and Southern Utah is close behind in third place with 34.33 points in the team standings.
A total of 12 individual champions were crowned on day 3 of the championships with Weber State’s Nathan Dunivan taking home two titles, one in the men’s hammer and the other in the men’s discus.
The 2019 #BigSkyTF Outdoor Championships will wrap up tomorrow with 28 more individual champions being crowned.
