NAU's Taylor Collects #BigSkyTennis Men's Player of the Week Nod
OGDEN, Utah (April 10, 2019) – Northern Arizona senior Lucas Taylor delivered two match-clinching wins in conference play and went 5-0 overall to be named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.
At No. 2 singles, Taylor collected three wins over Division I opponents last week in Northern Arizona’s 6-1 wins over Delaware, Weber State and Eastern Washington. The London, England native won all three matches in straight sets and helped the Lumberjacks clinch the Big Sky regular season title outright Sunday with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over EWU’s Mikayel Khachatryan.
In doubles play, Taylor and Facundo Tumosa teamed up for a 2-0 record on court three.
Taylor collected his fourth Big Sky weekly honor, winning one each season of his four-year career.
