NAU's Fisher Collects #BigSkyTennis Men's Weekly Accolades
OGDEN, Utah (March 13, 2019) – After leading Northern Arizona to road wins over Montana and Montana State, senior Tom Fisher has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
Fisher compiled a 4-0 overall record on the week with wins at No. 6 singles and No. 2 doubles.
In a 7-0 shutout of Montana, Fisher and Chris Steele took down Max Korkh and Oisin Shaffrey, 6-2. The Sheringham, England native followed with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Milo Benn on court six.
Fisher and Steele came through with another 6-2 win over Montana State’s Creel Smith and Joaquin Espinoza in doubles play on Sunday. He then provided the clincher for the Lumberjacks in singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Mateus Ceolin at line six en route to a 5-2 Northern Arizona win.
