FARMINGTON, Utah (December 4, 2019) -- With the 2019 sesaon in the rearview mirror we move on to the postseason.  Northern Colorado and Weber State are the only two teams remaing that are playing this week.
  • Northern Colorado was crowned the 2019 Big Sky Tournament Champion last week after defeating Weber State 3-2 in the championship match
  • With their victory over the Wildcats, the Bears earned a spot in NCAA Tournament and will face #12 Hawaii on Friday, December 6.
  • Weber State will continue play into the postseason after accepting an invite to the NIVC tournament.  The Wildcats will face Boise State in the first round in Laramie, Wyoming.
  • UNC’s Daisy Schultz was named the 2019 Big Sky Most Valuable Player by the leagues coaches.  
  • Three other players won individual awards after the regular season.  MSU’s Allyssa Rizzo was named the Libero of the Year, SUU’s Shannon Webb was named Top Newcomer of the Year, and Weber State’s Dani Nay was the Freshman of the year.
  • At the Big Sky Tournament, UNC’s Kailey Jo Ince was named the tournament MVP.  Ince was one of three UNC players to make the All-Tournament team.
