FARMINGTON, Utah (December 31, 2019) -- With Big Sky play finally getting underway teams are beginning to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.
- After the first weekend of Big Sky play five teams remain perfect. Southern Utah and Northern Colorado both have a 1-0 record while Idaho, Montana, and Montana State all have a 2-0 record.
- Montana’s Abby Anderson was named the Big Sky Player of the Week. She averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocked shots, and a steal in two games.
- Southern Utah’s Rebecca Cardenas is the current scoring leader this season. Through 10 games she is averaging 18.4 points per game.
- Eastern Washington’s Bella Cravens is the current conference leader in rebounds and is averaging 8.6 rebounds per game this season.
- Sacramento State is currently ninth in the country for offensive rebounds per game and are averaging 17 per game this season.
- Portland State has the best free throw percentage among the conference teams and is also ranked seventh in the nation with a 78.8 free throw shooting percentage.
