FARMINGTON, Utah (December 23, 2019) -- With non-conference play coming to an end the race to see who will be the Big Sky champion begins.  Southern Utah has risen to the top of the conference standings but two teams are close behind.
  • As non-conference play wraps up, Southern Utah is the leader with a 6-3 record including a 5-0 record at home.
  • Portland State, Idaho, and Montana all finished non-conference play with four losses.  The Vikings enter conference play with a 6-4 record while Montana and Idaho both have a 5-4 record. 
  • Weber State’s Liz Graves was named the Big Sky Player of the Week.  Graves averaged 23.5 points, six rebounds, one assist, and 2.5 steals in two games last week.
  • The Big Sky Conference had a winning record against two conferences during non-conference play.  The Big Sky’s best record came against the Big West with a total win percentage of 61 percent as teams went 8-5.  Against the WAC, the Big Sky had a 10-7 record for a 59 percent winning percentage.
  • League play starts this weekend with a full schedule of games on Saturday, Dec. 28 and Monday, Dec. 30.
  • Big Sky play will be a round-robin format with teams playing their conference foes twice.  The final game will take place on Friday, March 6.
