Portland State’s Desirae Hansen Named #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week
FARMINGTON, Utah (December 17, 2019) – Portland State’s Desirae Hansen has been named the #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week for her performance this past week against cross-town rival Portland.
Hansen recorded her first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 assists against the Pilots. The sophomore guard was 7-of-13 from the field to shoot 54 percent in the game. Hansen also added five rebounds and a blocked shot to her stat line.
Hansen was instrumental in the Vikings’ 77-71 comeback victory over the Pilots. Down 15 points at halftime, Hansen assisted or scored on eight straight points in the fourth quarter. The Vikings overcame their largest halftime deficit since Jan. 8, 2010 to pick up their fifth straight win.
This is the first time this season that Portland State has had a player named player of the week.
