EWU's Davison Captures #BigSkyMBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week Honors

FARMINGTON, Utah (December 10, 2019) – After posting the 10th-highest scoring total in Eastern Washington history on Sunday, junior guard Jacob Davison has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week.

Davison is coming off a 39-point effort in a 98-82 win over former Big Sky member North Dakota, knocking down the second-most shots in program history with 17. The Eagles trailed by four in the second half, but he scored 18 of EWU’s last 45 points as the Eagles led by as many as 19 in the closing minutes.

The Long Beach, Calif., native also added six rebounds, five assists and five steals in 38 minutes of action against the Fighting Hawks.

In a 90-80 loss to 22nd-ranked Washington on Wednesday, Davison posted 12 points, eight boards, four assists and two steals in 29 minutes of court time.

On the week, the Preseason All-Big Sky selection averaged 25.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 steals while shooting 57 percent (21-of-37) from the floor.

The Big Sky weekly honor is the second of Davison’s career, last earning accolades on Feb. 5, 2019.
