FARMINGTON, Utah (November 6, 2019) – Sacramento State’s Ethan Davidson has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Week, announced today by the league office.

Davidson, a sophomore for the Hornets, led the way for Sacramento State at the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate in Maui, Hawaii. Davidson shot 12 birdies and 1 eagle to finish tied for 46th place with a two-under score of 211 (67, 74, 70). Davidson’s performance tied his previous record for lowest 54-hole round and lowest single round that he had set at the Nick Watney Invitational in October.

It is the second conference weekly honor of the season and career for Davidson.

Next up for Sacramento State is the Orange County Collegiate Classic from Feb. 10-11 in Cota de Caza, Calif., which will be the first tournament of their spring season.

This was the final fall tournament for Big Sky member schools, and men’s golf will be back in action for the spring season in February.
