#BigSkyFB with Four Teams in the Top 15

FARMINGTON, Utah (November 4, 2019) – With three weeks left in the regular season, the Big Sky Conference has four teams ranked in the top 15 of the STATS FCS and AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 polls.

Weber State (7-2) picked up a huge win and its fifth straight after a 36-17 victory at then-No. 6 Sacramento State. Weber State remains in the No. 3 spot in the STATS FCS and AFCA FCS Coaches’ polls, as it’s the lone undefeated team left in conference play. The Wildcats will host No. 22 North Dakota (5-3) on Saturday in Ogden.  

Montana (7-2) earned a 38-23 road win at Portland State on Saturday. The victory helped the Griz crack the top 5 in the AFCA Coaches’ Poll and has them slated No. 6. In the STATS FCS Poll.  Montana will host Idaho (4-5) on Saturday in the Big Sky ROOT SPORTS Game of the Week.

Sacramento State (6-3) fell to No. 3 Weber State at home last weekend. The loss was the first on conference play this season for the Hornets. Sacramento State dropped two spots to No. 8 in the STATS FCS and AFCA Coaches’ polls. The Hornets will play at Northern Arizona (4-5) on Saturday.

Montana State (6-3) recorded a dominate 42-7 win over Southern Utah at home. The win improved the Bobcats position to No. 12 in the STATS FCS Poll and No. 14 in the AFCA FCS Coaches’ Poll. Montana State will travel to Northern Colorado (2-7) to face the Bears this weekend.
UC Davis, who is coming off a bye week, received 61 votes in the STATS FCS Poll.
