Idaho’s Marxen Named the #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week
FARMINGTON, Utah (November 27, 2019) – Idaho sophomore guard Gina Marxen has been named the #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week.
Marxen and the Vandals competed in one game last week against Seattle. Marxen scored a career-high 30 points in a 90-84 double OT win against the Redhawks.
To go along with her career scoring night, Marxen also made a career-high seven three-pointers on 46 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Marxen was 8-of-16 from the floor in the game and grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists including an assist that forced the first overtime period
Marxen is one of the top players in the league this season and is currently ranked first in assist/turnover ratio (3.8), first in three-point field goals made (3.8 pg), third in scoring (16.0 ppg), ninth in assists (3.8 apg), and 14th in rebounding (6.3 rpg).
This is the first time this season that Marxen has been named player of the week.
