#BigSkyVB Championship Bracket Set, UNC No.1 Seed

FARMINGTON, Utah (November 23, 2019) – It took until the final match of the regular season to decide who would be participating in the 2019 #BigSkyVB Championship. When the dust settled from an exciting regular season eight teams had punched their ticket to the championship.
Sacramento State’s The Nest will serve as the host site for the 2019 Big Sky Championship. The three-day event will be played from Thursday, Nov. 28 through Saturday, Nov. 30. The quarterfinals will be held on Thursday with the semifinals set to be played on Friday and the championship match on Saturday.
Northern Colorado enters the championship as the No. 1 seed. The Bears were nearly flawless in Big Sky play this season and finished with a 16-1 record and were crowned the Big Sky regular-season champions. The Bears will face No. 8 Montana who finished the season with a 6-12 record in conference play and got on a roll late in the season. The Griz faced a must-win game on Saturday to secure their spot in the field.
Weber State enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed as they finished with a 13-5 record in league play. The Wildcats will face in-state rival No. 7 Southern Utah who finished the conference season 8-10.
Northern Arizona finishes the conference season with a 13-5 record and will enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed. The Lumberjacks will face Idaho who enters the tournament as the No. 6 seed after finishing with a 9-9 record.
Finally, Montana State enters the tournament as the No. 4 seed after finishing with a 10-8 record in conference play. The Bobcats will face the hosts No. 5 Sacramento State who wrapped up conference play with a 9-9 record.
The championship match will take place on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 7:05 p.m. PT. The championship winner will receive an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
All Big Sky Championship matches will air for free on Pluto TV channel 531 and WatchBigSky.com. The semifinals and championship matches will also air on Eleven Sports.
Single-day passes are available for purchase for adults 18 and older for $15 and for youth 3-17 for $8. Children under the age of 3 are free. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.hornetsports.com/tickets/VB19.
