NAU’s Nina Radford Named #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week
FARMINGTON, Utah, (November 19, 2019) – The Big Sky Conference announces that Northern Arizona’s Nina Radford has been named the #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week.
Radford came up huge for the Lumberjacks on Saturday, scoring 10 of her 17 points in the fourth quarter to help lead NAU to an 88-80 victory over Seattle.
Radford, in just her second game back after redshirting last year as a transfer, scored nine straight points for NAU during a 9-2 run to turn a 70-69 deficit into a 78-72 lead that the Lumberjacks would not relinquish. Radford was 3-for-3 from the field, including a three-pointer, and 3-for-4 from the free-throw line in the final period.
Overall, Radford recorded 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists and was a team-best +17 while she was on the court in NAU's first victory of the season.
