FARMINGTON, Utah ( November 13, 2019)  --  With the women's basketball season still young some Big Sky schools are making their presence felt.
  • Southern Utah’s Rebecca Cardenas was named the #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week.  Cardenas helped SUU to a 2-0 record to start the season and averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, two steals, and 0.5 blocks per game.
  • Preseason favorite Montana State started the season strong with two wins.  The Bobcats knocked off UC Davis in their first game of the season 77-65.
  • Portland State is competing in the Preseason WNIT.  The Vikings dropped their first game of the tournament last week to Boise State, 82-57.  The remaining games for the Vikings in the WNIT will be Kansas City (11/5) and either Davidson or UC Irvine.
  • Sacramento State’s Gabi Bade dropped 26 points in the Hornets lone game last week.  Bade’s average is currently a league best through the first week of play.
  • Idaho State is the only Big Sky team that will not compete this week. All other teams will play one game with Northern Colorado, Portland State, Sacramento State, and Idaho competing twice.
