FARMINGTON, Utah (October 8, 2019)
-- It is a tight race in the Big Sky standings but it is still early as teams begin making a play for one of the coveted eight spots in the conference tournament.
  • Northern Colorado has risen to the top of the Big Sky standings after the first two weeks of conference play and remains unbeaten in conference.
  • Sacramento State’s Sarah Davis was named the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week. Davis averaged 5.9 kills per set and a hitting percentage of .250. She was instumental in her team going 1-1 on the week which included a 3-2 victory over Northern Arizona.
  • Portland State’s Ellie Snook was named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week and led her team to a pair of victories over Southern Utah and  Northern Arizona. Snook had back to back 30+ dig matches and had a career high 39 digs against Southern Utah.
  • Three teams are currently tied for second in the conference standings with a 3-1 record. Montana State, Portland State, and Idaho have all lost just one game in conference play.
