Hartford’s Romero Tabbed Big Sky Men’s Golfer of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah (October 24, 2019) – Hartford’s Manuel Romero has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Week, announced today by the league office.
Romero, a freshman for the Hawks, turned in three par-or-better rounds for the first time in his career to finish tied for ninth at the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Intercollegiate this past weekend. Romero carded rounds of 69-70-69 on the par-71 course, finishing with a career-low 54-hole total of four-under 209. The finish marked a career-best and the 69s in the first and third rounds matched career-best rounds for the freshman.
It is the first conference weekly honor of Romero’s young career.
Next up for Hartford is the Innisbrook Invitational from Oct. 28-29 in Palm Harbor. Fla.
