– Northern Arizona’s Luis Grijalva and Montana’s June Eastwood were named the Big Sky Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Athletes of the Week, announced today by the league office.
#BigSkyXC Male Athlete of the Week – Luis Grijalva, Jr., Northern Arizona, Guatemala
Northern Arizona’s Luis Grijalva led the Lumberjacks to their fourth consecutive Nuttycombe Invite team title. The race was held at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wis. The junior completed the 8k course in a time of 23:43.2 to place fifth overall for his third top-five finish of the 2019 season.

#BigSkyXC Female Athlete of the Week – June Eastwood, Sr., Montana, Belgrade, Mont.
June Eastwood finished second in a field of 204 runners at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale, Calif. Eastwood clocked a time of 20:18 in the 6k race to help Montana place seventh as a team.
