Weber State’s Frampton Picks Up Men’s Golfer of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah (October 16, 2019) – Weber State’s Jayce Frampton has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Week, announced today by the league office.

Frampton, a senior for the Wildcats, led the way for Weber State at the Bill Cullum Invitational in Simi Valley, Calif. Frampton opened the tournament by shooting a one-under 71 in the first round, followed by an even better second round with a three-under 69, and rounded out the tournament with an even 72. Frampton finished tied for 16th place and led the team with 13 birdies overall.

It is the first weekly honor of the season for Frampton and the second of his career.

Next up for Weber State is the Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational from Feb. 10-11 in St. George, Utah to get their spring season started.

Other Nominees: Joseph Glenn, Idaho; Joe Fowler, Sacramento State; Ali Hameed, Southern Utah.
