Eastern Washington’s Heimler Named Big Sky Women’s Golfer of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah (October 16, 2019) – Eastern Washington’s Stephanie Heimler has been named the Big Sky Conference Women’s Golf Player of the Week, announced today by the league office.
Heimler, a freshman for the Eagles, led Eastern Washington to a 6
th place finish at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in Tacoma, Wash. Heimler opened the tournament with a 78, and finished strong with a two-under round of 70 and a one-under round of 71. Her round of 70 was the lowest round score for the team and helped propel her to a three-over 219 finish.
It is the first weekly honor of Heimler’s young career.
Next up for Eastern Washington is the GCU Invitational from Feb. 22-23 in Phoenix, Ariz to get their spring season started.
