UNC's Jordan Davis Repeats As #BigSkyMBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah (January 8, 2019) – For the second-straight week and third time this season, Northern Colorado senior guard Jordan Davis has been named the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week.

Davis continued his consistent play last week, averaging 29.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in wins over Idaho and Eastern Washington at home. The Bears improved to 4-0 in Big Sky play to sit in sole possession of first place.

The Las Vegas, Nev., native opened the week with a 29-point performance in an 83-79 overtime victory over Idaho on Saturday. He connected on 55 percent of his shots (11-20) and knocked down five three-pointers while adding nine rebounds and five assists.

In a 75-63 win over Eastern Washington on Monday, Davis notched his third 30-point game of the season with 30 points on 10-of-15 shooting (66.7%) with three treys in addition to five assists, three rebounds and two steals. 

On the week, Davis shot 60 percent (21-35) from the field including 57.1 percent (8-14) from three-point range. He also finished with a 69.2 percentage (9-13) from the free-throw line. 

Davis has now scored at least 20 points in 14-straight contests and at least 25 points in five-straight games. He leads the Big Sky and ranks fifth nationally with 25.2 points per game.
