Montana's Pridgett Captures #BigSkyMBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week Nod
OGDEN, Utah (January 15, 2019) – After shooting nearly 80 percent from the field and averaging 22.5 points per game on the week, Montana junior guard Sayeed Pridgett has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
Pridgett put together a hot-shooting week from the floor, knocking down 19 of 24 shots for a 79.2 shooting percentage.
The Oakland, Calif., native scored a career-high 29 points including Montana’s first 11 points to lead the Griz to a road win over previously unbeaten Northern Colorado on Saturday. Pridgett connected on 11 of 13 shots in an 88-64 rout of the Big Sky leaders, and finished 4-of-4 from behind the arc while adding three steals in 36 minutes of action.
In a 78-71 loss at Eastern Washington on Thursday, Pridgett nearly recorded a double-double with 16 points and a team-high nine rebounds and three steals. He also shot an impressive 72.7 percent from the floor on 8-of-11 shooting.
On the week, he averaged 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.5 assists per game.
