NAU's Taylor Tabbed #BigSkyTennis Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah - Lucas Taylor went undefeated in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play to earn #BigSkyTennis Player of the Week.
 
In Northern Arizona’s narrow loss to Marquette, Taylor notched a straight set victory at No. 2 singles and gave NAU a chance to win the match. His doubles match with Thomas Fisher went unfinished.
 
Two days later, the junior had a strong showing in the Lumberjacks’ shut out of North Dakota. Taylor partnered with Adi Zilberstein at No. 2 doubles and won 6-1 before cruising to a 6-1, 6-3 singles victory at the No. 2 position.
 
Taylor, a native of London, England, helped NAU earn another shut out against Northern Colorado with a 7-6 win at No. 2 doubles and a third straight set win at No. 2 singles on the week. Northern Arizona is now 4-1 in Big Sky play.
 
Taylor finished the week winning 6-4, 6-0 at No. 2 singles versus UNLV. For the week, the junior was 4-0 at No. 2 singles for Northern Arizona.
 
This is the first Player of the Week honor for Lucas Taylor on the season and the second honor in his career. Northern Arizona returns to the hardcourts on March 31 at Idaho State.
