Versus Cal Poly, Violet Kapri Morrow scored a season-high 26 points on 8-18 shooting and 9-9 from the charity stripe. IDAHO Defeated San Francisco 70-63 at home in their only game of the week to improve to 3-3 on the year. Mikayla Ferenz registered 40 points and seven rebounds in the game and is second in the Big Sky in points per game averaging 23.8 for the season. The Vandals were all over the boards and specifically on the offensive side pulling down 18 offensive rebounds versus the Dons. IDAHO STATE Went 1-0 on the week taking down Benedictine 88-51 in a game that the Bengals never trailed in. Estefania Ors tallied 22 points on 7-11 shooting to lead the team. Grace Kenyon almost recorded a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds in 20 minutes of play. The Bengals dished 22 assists on 31 made baskets in the game. MONTANA Won the Lady Griz Invitational thumping Northern Illinois 86-70 before a thrilling win over UC Davis 62-56. Jace Henderson was named MVP averaging 15 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 5.5 apg over the two-game stretch. Improved to 72-4 all-time in the Lady Griz Classic. MONTANA STATE Split the week falling to Wyoming 66-58 before recovering in a big way with an 85-62 win at home over Long Beach State. Six players scored double-digits for the Bobcats against Long Beach State with Madeline Smith recording a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Created plenty of second chance opportunities versus Long Beach State with 20 offensive rebounds. NORTHERN ARIZONA Had the week off but takes its 4-2 record on the road this week against Colorado State before coming back home to play New Mexico. Khiarica Rasheed’s 60 percent shooting from the floor is the 25th best mark in the nation. NORTHERN COLORADO Fell to Air Force 69-57 and upended SMU 58-57 at home to end the week 1-1. Ali Meyer scored the game-winning tip-in against SMU with four seconds left. Meyer has cleaned up the glass recording double-digit rebound performances in five straight games. Micayla Isenbart scored a career-high 20 points in the SMU game filling in for the injured Savannah Smith. PORTLAND STATE Buried Portland 92-79 to remain a perfect 5-0 for the year for the first time since the 2007-08 season. Ashley Bolston was a steal away from a quadruple-double with 19 points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds and nine steals. Sidney Rielly had the hot-hand for the Vikings with 32 points. The Vikings assisted on 27 of their 33 field goals. Bolston is the only Big Sky player to record double-digit assists this season, and the junior has already done it twice. Bolston is one of two players in the nation to have recorded multiple triple-doubles this season joining Oregon’s Sabrina Ionescu. Vikings are the top team in field goal percentage defense in the nation allowing opponents to shoot just 28.3 percent from the field. SACRAMENTO STATE Improved to 3-1 on the year with an 86-80 home win over Antelope Valley. Kennedy Nicholas (19 points and 18 rebounds) and Hannah Friend (22 points and 15 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles for the Hornets. Still the top offense in the nation averaging 95.0 points per game. Nicholas is fourth in the nation in rebounds pulling down 13.8 boards a game while Friend is fourth in points averaging 25 per outing. SOUTHERN UTAH Went 1-1 on the week defeating BYU 67-64 at home and losing to Oral Roberts 64-59. Harley Hansen scored 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the win over BYU. WEBER STATE Enjoyed a 68-63 home win over UTEP and is now 3-3 this season. Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman scored 16 points to go along with nine rebounds and nine assists. Welch-Coleman is 36th in the nation in assists per game averaging 5.8.
