FULL RELEASE

EASTERN WASHINGTON
  • Lost two games in Maui to Oregon State (93-45) and UC Riverside (57-45) to round out non-conference play.
  • Violet Kapri Morrow is fourth in the Big Sky in scoring averaging 17 points per game. Morrow also leads the team in rebounds averaging 6.6 per game.
 
IDAHO
  • Didn’t play over the past week but rounds out the non-conference schedule at Gonzaga.
  • Mikayla Ferenz is still tops in the conference in points averaging 22.3 per game.
  • As a team averages 10.8 made three pointers per game making 35.8 percent of their attempts, both are the best marks in the Big Sky.
 
IDAHO STATE
  • Has the best field goal percentage mark in the league shooting 43.4 percent.
  • Is also fifth in the league in field goal percentage defense holding opponents to 40.1 percent shooting. One of two teams in the conference to be top five in the league in both categories.
 
MONTANA
  • Split the weekend losing to Washington 69-54 before clipping Saint Francis 79-77.
  • Jace Henderson filled up the box score against Saint Francis compiling 18 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, five steals and three blocks.
  • The Griz shot 52.5 percent from the field against Saint Francis assisting on 20 of their 32 made shots.
 
MONTANA STATE
  • Earned a come-from-behind 59-56 win over Omaha as Oliana Squires hit the go-ahead three with 21.4 seconds left.
  • Squires scored 19 points, tallied eight assists and collected seven boards in the win.
  • Shot 48 percent in the second half against Omaha after shooting under 30 percent in the first half.
 
NORTHERN ARIZONA
  • No game over the past week, but plays Arizona to close out non-conference play.
  • The Lumberjacks have the top three-point field goal percentage defense holding opponents to just 25.2 percent shooting.
 
NORTHERN COLORADO
  • Needed five extra minutes, but defeated Chattanooga 68-65 to improve to 5-3 on the season.
  • Alexis Chapman scored a career-high 23 points in the win shooting 9-13 from the floor.
  • Has the second-best scoring defense in the league giving up just 63.2 points per game.
 
PORTLAND STATE
  • Stingy defense led the Vikings to two wins against Grand Canyon (60-55) and UNLV (58-49) to remain undefeated at 8-0.
  • Forced Grand Canyon into 19 turnovers and UNLV to 26 turnovers. Portland State is 28th in the nation allowing opponents to score just 54.6 points per contest.
  • Ashley Bolston led the team in scoring in both games over the past week totaling 19 points against Grand Canyon and 17 points versus UNLV.
  • The Vikings are one of 17 undefeated teams in the nation.
 
SACRAMENTO STATE
  • Had a week off last week, but closes out non-conference play against New Mexico and Hampton.
  • Still top-ten in the nation in scoring offense recording 85.8 points per game, also rank in the top-30 in turnovers forced with opponents committing 22 turnovers per game.
 
SOUTHERN UTAH
  • Didn’t play a game last week, but plays its final non-conference game at Boise State this week.
  • Rebecca Cardenas is shooting 42.4 percent from three having made 14 triples this season.
  • Harley Hansen is third in the Big Sky in steals averaging 2.6 per game.
 
WEBER STATE
  • Fell to Utah 77-56 last week as Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman dropped 21 points and dished out seven assists against the Utes.
  • Welch Coleman leads the league in dimes averaging 5.9 per game.
  • The Wildcats are 24th in the nation in free throw percentage making 76.5 of their attempts.
