ISU's Grandon Tabbed Ready Nutrition #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah – Saylair Grandon averaged 18.5 points along with 5.5 assists and rebounds in two home wins for the Bengals to earn Ready Nutrition #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week honors.
 
Grandon shined against Utah Valley scoring 24 points on 8-10 shooting from the field. Five of the senior’s eight buckets were from behind the arc. Grandon also pulled down five rebounds, dished out seven assists and swatted away three shots in the 80-68 win. As a team, Idaho State shot a school-record 66 percent from the field against UVU.
 
Grandon followed up with a 13-point effort in Idaho State’s 65-63 victory over Pepperdine. The Phoenix, Ariz., native posted six rebounds, four assists and a crucial steal to ice the game for the Bengals.
 
This is the first career Player of the Week accolade for Grandon. Idaho State wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 5-4 record and will host Idaho on Dec. 29 to open Big Sky play.
