Wednesday, December 5
Wednesday recap: Portland State defeated rival Portland for the third-straight season with an 87-78 win at Viking Pavilion. Holland Woods led all scorers with 27 points including five three-pointers. Idaho fell in the Battle of the Palouse to Washington State as the Cougars earned a 90-70 win in Pullman. Southern Utah fell to Long Beach State on the road, 82-71, while Weber State also suffered a setback in California with a 71-52 loss to Fresno State.
Friday, December 7
Friday recap: Idaho State erased a 14-point second half deficit to defeat Santa Clara on the road, 68-66. Kelvin Jones led the Bengals with 20 points.
Saturday, December 8
Saturday recap: The Big Sky suffered losses in all seven games Saturday, six coming by single digits. Weber State fell to in-state rival Utah State in the Beehive Classic, 76-67, while Southern Utah was handed a 95-86 setback at Central Michigan. Eastern Washington also fell on the road with a 74-67 defeat to North Dakota State. Jacob Davison scored a career-high 25 points for the Eagles. Northern Arizona dropped a 98-78 decision to Utah Valley at home for its fourth consecutive loss. UC Irvine closed out the game on a 12-2 run to defeat Montana in a matchup between two preseason conference favorites in California. Idaho also saw a second half lead slip away in a 73-67 home loss to CSU Bakersfield, while Sacramento State fell to Portland on the road, 76-67. Joshua Patton finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Hornets.
Sunday, December 9
Sunday recap: Montana State collected the Big Sky's first win over a Power 5 school this season with a 95-90 victory over Washington State. Senior Tyler Hall broke the MSU career scoring record and the Big Sky career three-point record on his fifth three-pointer of the night. Hall reached 2,038 career points and 347 three-pointers after 24 points and six treys against the Cougars. Harald Frey scored a career-high 31 points with six three-pointers while adding 10 assists for the double-double.
