Weber State's Harding Captures #BigSkyMBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week Honors
OGDEN, Utah (November 20, 2018) – Weber State junior guard Jerrick Harding has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week for the first time in his career Tuesday after averaging 26.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game at the Junkanoo Jam in the Bahamas.
Harding opened the week with a 31-point performance in his season debut against San Jose State on Thursday. He also pulled down a career-high eight rebounds in the 85-77 win over the Spartans. His 31 points propelled him over 1,000 for his career to become the 34th player in Weber State history to accomplish the feat.
He followed that performance with 25 points and three steals in a 78-76 win over Central Michigan on Friday. The Wichita, Kan. native closed out the week with 22 points and three steals in the Wildcats’ narrow 68-67 loss to CSU Bakersfield to earn a spot on the all-tournament team.
On the week, Harding connected on 50 percent (22-of-44) of this shots, shooting 42 percent (8-of-19) from behind the arc and 76 percent (26-of-34) from the charity stripe.
