Harris, Wodke Named #BigSkyVB Players of the Week
OGDEN, Utah (November 19, 2018) – The Big Sky announced its volleyball players of the week on Monday. Northern Arizona’s Heaven Harris was named Offensive Player of the Week, while Idaho’s Alycia Wodke was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Harris, a sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., led NAU to a 2-0 record on the week and a share of the Big Sky regular season title. Harris hit a combined .404, averaged 0.83 blocks and accounted for more than five points per set in two sweeps against Idaho and Eastern Washington. Harris recorded the match point versus Idaho, in addition to a match-leading 15 kills in the three-set sweep over Idaho. Two days later, Harris hit .545 and registered 13 kills at Eastern Washington. She averaged 4.67 kills per set and hit .404 on the week.
Alycia Wodke helped guide Idaho to a share of the league regular season championship. The Vandals went 1-1 on the week. The senior libero registered 42 digs on the week to average 7.00 digs per set. On the road at Northern Arizona, Wodke had 17 digs. She followed it up with 25 digs on Senior Day with a three-set sweep over Southern Utah.
