NAU’s Rasheed Tabbed Ready Nutrition #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah – Khiarica Rasheed led Northern Arizona to two wins on the opening week and averaged a team-best 17.3 points per game over three contests to earn the first Ready Nutrition #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week honor on the year.
 
In NAU’s first game of the year, Rasheed totaled 12 points and seven rebounds as the Lumberjacks knocked off Fresno State at home 86-73.
 
The sophomore shined on the road against Seattle knocking down 11 of her 12 field goal attempts for 24 points. Rasheed pulled down six boards and recorded two steals in 31 minutes as the Lumberjacks defeated the Redhawks 65-58.

Rasheed finished the week with 16 points, four rebounds and three steals at Washington. The Portland, Ore. native shot an efficient 6-10 from the field in the road loss.
 
For the week, Rasheed averaged 17.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.0 spg and a blistering 65.6 percent from the field. This is the first career Player of the Week honor for Rasheed. The Lumberjacks return to action on Saturday at home against Cal Baptist.
