EASTERN WASHINGTON
»» The Eagles opened their 2018-19 slate with a game at Gonzaga. Eastern Washington fell 63-51 in the outing.
»» Violet Kapri Morrow tallied 18 points and 10 points to register a double- double in her first game of the season. Jess McDowell-White also scored in double figures for the Eagles with 12 points.

IDAHO
»» Idaho, picked to win the Big Sky this season, captured an 88-73 victory against CSUN to tip-off the season. The Vandals dropped a 115-71 decision to Stanford of the Pac-12 in game two of the season. Idaho connected on 15 made 3-pointers in each contest.
»» Gina Marxen led the way for Idaho through two games with an average of 14 points per game, as she shot .563 from the floor and .778 from 3-point range.
»» Taylor Pierce (14.0 ppg), Mikayla Ferenz (14.0 ppg), and Janie King (13.0 ppg) also averaged double digits through the first week.

IDAHO STATE
»» The Bengals opened the season with a 72-57 win over Cal Baptist. Idaho State fell to the Pac-12’s Arizona two days later, 71-46.
»» Saylair Grandon averaged 15.5 points and 8.0 rebounds to lead the Bengals through their first-two games. Grace Kenyon added 11. ppg and 7.5 rpg.

MONTANA
»» The Griz played at Gonzaga in its opener, falling to the Zags, 76-52. McKenzie Johnston scored 17 points in the outing to go along with seven assists and four rebounds. Jace Henderson led Montana in rebounds with 10.
»» After one game, Montana sits at .800 from the free throw line and .350 from the field.

MONTANA STATE
»» The Bobcats registered a 64-48 victory versus Carroll to pick up a win in their season opener. Montana State then played at Marquette where they fell, 100-52.
»» Claire Lundberg guided the Bobcats through two games with 17.5 points per game, as she shot .483 from the field.

NORTHERN ARIZONA
»» The Lumberjacks played three games in the opening week of the season. Northern Arizona topped Fresno State, 86-73 at home, thanks to 15 made 3-pointers (.750) by the Lumberjacks. NAU then defeated Seattle, 65-58 on the road to start the season, 2-0. NAU’s first loss of the season came at Washington of the Pac-12, 81-59.
»» Khiarica Rasheed averaged 17.3 points and 5.7 rebounds through a trio of games for NAU. She also had six steals and shot .656 from the floor. Kaleigh Paplow (14.7) and Lauren Orndoff (11.0) rounded out the top three scorers for the Lumberjacks.

NORTHERN COLORADO
»» The Bears tipped off the season with two tough losses to Colorado (L, 77- 69) and LSU (L, 62-57).
»» Savannah Smith averaged 23.5 points to lead all players in the league with two or more games under the belt. Smith’s 32 points – eight made 3-pointers - at Colorado leads all Big Sky players. Krystal Leger-Walker is second in scoring for the Bears with 10.5 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game.

PORTLAND STATE
»» The Vikings are off to a hot start this season. Portland State recorded a 102-49 opening win over Warner Pacific, where they blocked nine shots and collected 20 steals in the game. PSU then earned an 80-51 win over San Jose State.
»» Portland State has four pairs averaging double digits in scoring. Courtney West is just shy of double-double numbers with 20.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Desirae Hansen is next with 12.0 points and 6.0 assists
per game. Kylie Jimenez (11.5) and Ashley Bolston (11.0) round out the Vikings leading scorers.

SACRAMENTO STATE
»» The Hornets collected an 88-85 victory over Cal Poly to tip off the 2018-19 campaign. Sacramento State registered 20 steals in the three-point win.
»» Hannah Friend scored 25 points in the Hornets opener to go along with nine rebounds. Tiara Scott added 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. Kennedy Nicholas pulled down 13 rebounds in the outing.

SOUTHERN UTAH
»» The Thunderbirds registered a 69-59 win against San Diego in head coach Tracy Sanders debut. Southern Utah connected on 9 of 11 free throws to shoot 81.8 percent from the charity stripe.
»» Rebecca Cardenas netted 18 points to lead the Thunderbirds. Breanu Reid tallied 12 points to round out the top scorers.

WEBER STATE
»» Weber State picked up a 105-43 win over La Verne to start the season off. The Wildcats 105 points is the most this season in the league, including their 62-point margin of victory. The Wildcats dropped their second game, 89-73 to Portland.
»» Six players are shining for the Wildcats in double digits. Kayla Watkins leads Weber State with a double-double average of 23.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. Watkins’ 15 rebounds versus La Verne leads the league.
»» Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman is averaging 19.0 points, 7.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game, while Dominique Williams is averaging 12.0 points and 10.0 rebounds. Shianne Johnson (12.5), Emily Drake (10.5)
