OGDEN, Utah – After the conclusion of the Big Sky volleyball regular season, the Big Sky Conference announced on Saturday its 2017 #BigSkyVB Championship field, presented by Red Lion Hotels Corporation.
Sacramento State posted an impressive 15-1 record during conference play and earned the first seed and the right to host the 2017 Big Sky Volleyball Championships, which will be held Nov. 16-18, in Sacramento, Calif.
North Dakota, last year’s Big Sky champions, secured the No. 2 seed with a 12-4 league record. Idaho also recorded a Big Sky record of 12-4, earning the No. 3 seed.
The final five teams in the tournament include Portland State, Northern Arizona, Idaho State, Weber State and Northern Colorado.
For the first time ever, the semifinals and the championship match will air on Eleven Sports. In addition, every game of the championship can be watched on Pluto TV.
The championship will feature the winners of the semifinal matches with the winner of the championship receiving the Big Sky’s automatic invitation to the NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
