SEATTLE, Wash. (May 21, 2016) – Weber State’s softball season came to an end Saturday afternoon as the Wildcats fell 5-2 to North Dakota State in NCAA tournament action. Weber State ended the season with a 37-19 record.
Alyson Kulp went 2-for-4 and drove in one of the Wildcats’ two RBIs on a double in the top of the seventh. Kirtlyn Bohling finished the season with a 17-9 record as she was tagged with the loss in 2.2 innings of work.
Jacquelyn Sertic earned the complete-game win for the Bison with 12 strikeouts and just two walks. The Bison hit for power with three players knocking a ball out of the park.
NDSU put two runs on the board in the bottom of the second and never looked back. WSU scored once in the top of the third but would not score again until the top of the seventh.
