Sacramento State Moves On To Final Day Of #BigSkySB Tournament

OGDEN, Utah (May 13, 2016) – Sacramento State moved on to the final day of the 2016 Big Sky Conference Softball Championship presented by Red Lion® Hotels thanks to a 10-4 win over Montana.
The Hornets will face No. 3 seed Idaho State tomorrow at 11 a.m. in an elimination game. The winner of tomorrow's opener will move on to face Weber State in the championship game at 1:30 a.m.
Sasha Margulies got the Hornets on the board in the top of the first with a two-run homerun to center but UM answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning to make it a 3-2 ballgame.
UM added two in the bottom of the third but the Hornets rallied for four runs in the top of the fourth. Jessica Ravetti knocked a two-RBI double to cap the Hornet rally in the fourth.
Ravetti finished the day with two hits in three appearances with two RBIs, two doubles and two runs scored. Shelby Johnston was a perfect 3-for-3 with a RBI and two runs scored.
Savanna Corr picked up the win in relief, allowing just two hits.
