Seven Big Sky Student-Athletes Earn NABC All-District Honors, Evans Named District Six Coach Of The Year

OGDEN, Utah (March 24, 2016) – Seven Big Sky Conference student-athletes were named to the National Association of College Basketball Coaches All-District Six team while Idaho State coach Bill Evans was named the District 6 Coach of the Year, the NABC announced today.
Weber State’s Joel Bolomboy, who was named this year’s Big Sky MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, was named to the District Six First Team. Montana’s Martin Breunig, Idaho State’s Ethan Telfair and Eastern Washington’s Austin McBroom also earned First-Team honors.
Eastern Washington’s Venky Jois joined Weber State’s Jeremy Senglin and North Dakota’s Quinton Hooker on the District Six Second Team.
Evans, who earned this year’s Big Sky Coach of the Year award, picked up the same honor for District Six. Evans led the Bengals to a 16-15 overall record and a fourth-place finish in the Big Sky regular season with an 11-7 conference mark.

About the National Association of Basketball Coaches
Located in Kansas City, MO, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game.
