The seeds for the Big Sky women’s basketball tournament are set. Montana will be the No. 1 seed as the Lady Griz host the No. 8 seeded Idaho State Bengals.
Sacramento State locked up the No. 2 seed with a win over Northern Arizona on Saturday. UNC topped North Dakota and earned the No. 3 seed based on its 1-0 record vs. Eastern Washington. The Eagles took possession of the No. 4 seed with a win over Weber State.
In the battle for the fifth seed it was NAU who came out on top. NAU picked up the No. 5 seed thanks to a 2-1 combined record over UND and Montana State. North Dakota had a combined record of 2-2 record over NAU and MSU to earn the No. 6 seed and MSU moved into the No. 7 seed with a win over Montana on Saturday.
Despite finishing the season with 8-10 conference marks, Idaho State moved on to the Big Sky tournament over Idaho thanks to conference tiebreakers.
