Sacramento State's Beverly Named Men's Golfer of the Week

OGDEN, Utah (March 4, 2015) - For the second time this spring season, Sacramento State’s Aaron Beverly has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week.
 
Beverly, a sophomore from Fairfield, Calif. carded an even-par 210 to finish tied for sixth at the Del Walker Intercollegiate hosted by Long Beach State. Beverly recorded rounds of 69, 71 and 70 on the par-70 Virginia Country Club. Beverly tallied 38 pars, eight birdies and eight bogeys in his 54 holes.
 
Beverly helped Sacramento State to a third-place finish in the 11-team tournament, which was played March 2-3. The Hornets shot 290, 283 and closed with a 2-under-par 278 to finish with an 851. UC Irvine won the event with an 838.
 
This is Beverly’s second career Big Sky Golfer of the Week honor.
