The 2015 Big Sky women's basketball champion, No. 16 seed Montana, will play No. 1 seeded Notre Dame in the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament first round.
Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. Mountain on Friday, March 20 from Notre Dame's Purcell Pavilion and the game will be broadcast on ESPN 2.
Three Big Sky teams will play in the Women's NIT. Eastern Washington will travel to local rival Washington State on Wednesday, March 18. Big Sky regular season runner-up, Sacramento State, will travel to Pacific on Thursday, March 19, and Northern Colorado will travel to Colorado State on Thursday as well.
The University of North Dakota will officially accepted a bid to play in the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) Monday. UND will head to Albuquerque, N.M. to play host New Mexico in the opening round of the 16-team tournament.
