OGDEN, Utah (November 24, 2015) – The Big Sky Conference basketball season continues with a feast of games over Thanksgiving week. Idaho continues play in the Mean Green Showcase in Denton, Texas while Weber State faces Drake and other mid-major foes in the Gulf Coast Showcase.
The Big Sky had a strong week last week with Montana State capturing two wins over Mountain West teams and Weber State topping Mid-American Conference foe, Central Michigan.
Standout Performers
Joel Bolomboy (WSU) - Averaged 17 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game while shooting 68 percent from the floor and had two double-doubles in two wins for Weber State last week.
Quinton Hooker (UND) - Hooker averaged 21.0 ppg, 9.3 rpg and 3.7 apg during UND’s three games at the Hilton Garden Inn FGCU Classic. He scored a season-high 25 points and matched his career-high with nine rebounds in a 77-58 victory over Bowling Green in the opening game of the tournament. He went 9-for-10 from the foul line and added six assists against the Falcons.
Isaiah Pineiro (PSU) - Pineiro came off the bench for career-highs of 24 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Vikings to a 79-61 win over Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Pineiro hit eight of his first nine shots in the first half as the Vikings built a double-digit lead they never gave up. Pineiro finished 11-14 from the field, 2-2 at the line for 24 points, 14 rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes of play
