OGDEN, Utah (November 10, 2015) – The 2015 Big Sky Soccer Champion Northern Colorado will face PAC-12 power, Arizona, in the 2015 NCAA Division I Women’s College Cup. This is the Bears’ first trip to the NCAA Tournament as a member of the Big Sky and as a Division I program. Kickoff between the Bears and Wildcats is set for 8 p.m. Friday, November 13 from Murphey Field at Mulcahy Soccer Stadium in Tucson, Ariz.
This is the first meeting between the two schools since UNC joined the Big Sky in 2006.
Northern Colorado won its first ever Big Sky Conference soccer championship Sunday afternoon on penalty kicks. The No. 2 seeded Bears fought No. 1 seed Idaho to a 1-1 draw in regulation but three saves by Madeline Burdick in the penalty shootout helped lift UNC to a 3-0 shootout win.
