UND's Huff Named Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah (March 4, 2013) - North Dakota’s Troy Huff has been selected as the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week after leading his team to a pair of road wins which helped clinch program’s first berth in the Big Sky Championship.
Huff, a 6-foot-5 junior guard/forward from Milwaukee, Wisc., averaged 26 points, four rebounds and three steals per game as North Dakota earned its first ever road sweep in Big Sky play. Huff shot .529 percent from the floor and .600 percent from 3-point range.
Huff scored 18 points with four rebounds and four steals in North Dakota’s 74-66 victory over Portland State on Thursday night. Huff scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half.
On Saturday, Huff scored a career-high 34 points as North Dakota beat Eastern Washington 78-74 to move to 11-8 in conference, clinching a bid in the postseason tournament. Huff scored North Dakota’s first 15 points and netted 20 points in the first seven minutes. Huff finished the first half with 24 points. His 34 points are the second-most by a Big Sky player this season. Huff also had four rebounds and two steals.
This is Huff’s third Player of the Week honor this season.
